Production Technician Lvl 1

About the role

Quali Tech, LLC, a manufacturer of plant nutrition, animal nutrition, and food ingredients products and services since 1967, is seeking a 2nd shift Production Technician for its animal nutrition division. This role focuses on blending and packing products while adhering to production, quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

Schedule

2:00 PM – 12:30 AM, Monday to Thursday (includes a $2 shift differential).

Responsibilities

• Ensure ingredient traceability by accurately recording lot numbers in batch sheets.
• Ensure compliance with Company allergen control measures during batching operations.
• Perform equipment allergen clean-up and other cleaning/sanitation activities as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with finished product weight requirements.
• Conduct periodic magnet cleaning and metal detector checks.
• Ensure product traceability by accurately recording lot numbers on packaging logs and confirming labels.
• Ensure packaging traceability by recording lot numbers of packaging materials.
• Comply with “Hold & Release” policies for non-conforming products.
• Follow Company rework/blend back policies.
• Package designated products as instructed and obtain proper bags from packaging areas.
• Sample product and report irregularities to management.
• Maintain clean working areas and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Understanding of basic technology in the assigned area.
• Knowledge of quality, food safety, and safe work procedures.
