Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Production Technician I to achieve production goals and address assembly-related issues while sharing knowledge and expertise with less experienced team members, offering guidance and support as needed.
- Assist Production Technician I in performing final quality inspection to ensure all assembly tasks are completed on Getman machines according to specifications, as needed.
- Partner with Production Technician I to support production goals and initiatives.
- Assemble mining machines and components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Assist Production Technician I in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to verify functionality and compliance with quality standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Perform precise installation of critical components such as engines, transmissions, pumps, and control systems.
- Assist in utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to program Getman machines.
- Maintain work area and tools utilizing and 5S methodology.
- Regularly monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of components and materials, ensuring Kanban signals are updated promptly and support the flow of materials and components through the assembly process.
- Absorb and update hose lists and valve prints to reflect changes in inventory, assembly processes, or component specifications.
- Regularly contribute ideas for process improvements, aiming to reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve overall assembly quality.
- Collaborate with process partners in process flow developments and standard operating procedures as needed.
- Ensure that all crane and jib lifting operations adhere to the specified weight limitations to prevent overloading and potential equipment failure.
- Efficiently handle multiple sub-tasks within a project simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years’ experience in automotive or heavy equipment production planning/assembly.
- Support departmental initiatives in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
