Main Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a Safety-First mindset and follow all Safety Policies and Procedures
- Operate in accordance with all pre-established Quality Policies and Procedures
- Analyze machine performance using data as well as mechanical knowledge to pro-actively address machine issues
- Communicate all line performance issues to the Lead Production Technician (LPT) assigned to your line and escalate to next level support when needed
- Affordably manage your line of responsibility to ensure the maximum OEE is achieved each shift
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual PMs as required to ensure that your line of responsibility remains reliable and in optimal condition
- Pro-actively make suggestions for Safety, Quality, and Production improvements
- Assist other production lines or departments in the plant, as needed
- Ensure operations and practices comply with established procedures and records
- Ensure in-process tests and inspections are performed in accordance with standard procedures
- Analyze and solve complex operational issues to minimize impact to overall performance of the operation
- Constantly improve technical knowledge of the assembly equipment for which you are responsible
- Serve as project member or project leader on improvement programs as needed
- Willing to voluntarily take on additional tasks and responsibilities, as needed, to ensure the continued success of our operation as well as the company at large.
- Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes
- Perform other tasks and/or duties as assigned
Skills and Qualification
- 1-3 years of operating complex automated manufacturing equipment (Preferred)
- Strong Desire to learn and grow your career in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic mechanical concepts
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a successful team
- Ability to troubleshoot and correct routine mechanical issues
- Ability to learn and use various computer systems daily (SAP, MES, etc…)
- Prior experience within an automated high speed high volume manufacturing facility (Preferred)
- Prior knowledge of highly automated manufacturing equipment (Preferred)
- Technical knowledge of Servos, Cams, Conveyance Systems, Motors, Gears, Pumps, etc… (Highly Preferred)
- Conceptual knowledge of vision systems, sensors, drives, etc… (Preferred)
- Prior experience in highly regulated industry (Preferred)
- Ability to accurately document variable production and machine data into an Electronic Device History Record, as required and monitored by the FDA.
- Ability to challenge status quo and willingness to never stop improving
