Production Technician - Danville, VA

About the Role

As a Production Technician in CBN Secure Technologies Inc. (CBN STI)’s Plant Operations group, you will be responsible for operating, optimizing, and maintaining leading-edge production equipment (laser engravers, automated inspection systems, etc.) used to produce secure polycarbonate documents, such as Virginia’s Driver Licenses and Identification (DL/ID) cards and passport data pages.

Responsibilities

• System Operation: Configure, calibrate, and optimize laser engraving and vision systems.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system equipment issues. Perform maintenance according to established preventative maintenance schedules.
• Documentation and Communication: Document and communicate all adjustments made to production systems.
• Efficiency and Improvement: Identify system improvements to enhance operational efficiency and/or quality.
• Various Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

• Legally eligible to work in the USA
• Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
• Ability to work all shifts and overtime as necessary
• Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods and lift/carry up to 30 lbs
• Must pass a CBN STI background check

Minimum Qualifications

• College diploma in Manufacturing/Mechatronics/Automation/Robotics/Engineering or equivalent additional years of relevant professional experience
• Fundamental knowledge of:
  • Mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and schematics
  • Preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Equipment set-up, operation, and optimization
  • Lubrication and basic repairs
  • Quality management principles, practices, and tools
• Basic computer literacy (MS O365 suite of applications)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechatronics/Automation/Robotics/Engineering
• 1+ years of experience as a Technician (or closely related role) in a manufacturing or print environment

Schedule

Night Shift: 7 pm to 7 am, 2-on, 2-off, 3-on, 3-off

Pay

$25.50/hr + $1.50/hr night shift premium
