Production Technician - Carbides
About the role
Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking a Production Technician - Carbides for their Indianapolis, IN location. This position operates on a 3rd shift schedule from 10:00pm to 06:30am, Sunday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to execute daily tasks safely and efficiently
- Support and participate in safety initiatives as needed
- Operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks
- Complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed
- Work in a challenging environment that is typically temperature controlled but can be hot, dirty, dusty, and humid, while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weight percentage conversions, across various units of measure
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- High proficiency in reading, understanding, and following complex work instructions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, reach, manipulate hands and fingers, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift up to 44 lbs
- Ability to safely wear and work while using a full-face or half-face respirator
- Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to train on 1st shift for a designated period of time
Qualifications
- Strong batch chemistry math skills, including weight percentage conversions across various units of measure
- Ability to operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment, including high-pressure gases, induction-powered furnaces, and high-vacuum equipment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
