About the Role

We are currently hiring entry-level production technicians in our Pet Food Plant. Whether you are interested in the making of the product or working on one of our packing teams, we have a spot for you.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and effective operations in support of the manufacturing of products such as Meow Mix
• Collect and analyze data to help deliver consistent performance aligned with our expectations for the highest quality and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Flow to the work to assist teammates, as needed, while promoting our Company culture as defined by our Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each Other
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow all company Safety Rules & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Operate and perform basic physical activities: climbing, standing, bending, twisting, and moving around stairs, ladders, platforms, and various equipment
• Learn new systems, record operational data, and communicate results
• Track quality and waste metrics
• Emphasis on sanitation/cleaning
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently
• Flow to the work to meet the needs of the business

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Manufacturing experience (preference for pet food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods)
• A proven track record of good attendance and consistent performance delivering consistent safety and quality
• Capability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutions with diverse employees
• Must be willing to work on shift (12-hour 2-2-3 shift rotation, fixed days or nights)
• Mechanical interest and operational skills
