This position supports Prescott's, Inc. onsite in Monument, CO. Join a team where your skills matter and your work has purpose. As a Production Technician, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document optical alignment procedures and component-level repairs on medical devices, utilizing specialized tools and following detailed standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with quality requirements.
- Regularly count inventory for designated departments to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Package and prepare all new product parts, components, and full microscopes for shipment, including palletizing freight for pick up and confirming shipping details.
- Respond to calls from outside customers and field representatives regarding equipment issues, availability, and troubleshooting support.
- Stay up to date with all regulatory processes, compliance standards, company policies, and quality requirements and understand their impact on the production environment.
- Perform manufacturing operations including set-up, adjustment, cleaning, polishing, welding, soldering, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
- Inspect work using microscopes, hand tools, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Read, understand, and follow applicable documentation including procedures, production travelers, work instructions, drawings, and quality instructions.
- Process quotes to orders, communicate updates and timelines to the field, and maintain a spreadsheet of all parts, lead times, and quantities on order.
- Conduct assembly builds and inventory consumption for inventory and orders.
- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts both physically and digitally, maintaining high-quality recordkeeping throughout.
- Maintain rental and evaluation tracking tab accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding order status and production needs.
- Perform basic maintenance of equipment and tools and maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
- Travel to onsite customer locations for support, training, and/or installation of new equipment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least 1+ years of experience in a technical, assembly, or manufacturing role, or equivalent hands-on experience in a production environment.
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and dexterity to perform intricate assemble work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic math proficiency, including the ability to apply mathematical concepts to job specifications and production standards.
- Ability to use and read a variety of measuring instruments accurately.
- A proactive, self-starter with a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal oversight.
- Ability to learn and understand complex electromechanical assemblies and their components.
- A clean driving record.
- The ability to effectively lift 50lbs on occasion, and up 20 lbs frequently.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with medical devices.
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
