About the role

Overwatch Imaging is an imagery intelligence technology company focused on bringing sensor autonomy to critical airborne missions. Their Automated Sensor Operator (ASO) software enhances real-time imagery intelligence systems through advanced edge processing and AI. Founded in 2016, they serve various sectors including wildfire management, disaster response, law enforcement, and border security.

Responsibilities

  • Electronics Assembly
    • Assemble optical and electronic components using hand tools or power tools
    • Assemble cable harness assemblies
    • Follow technical drawings or work instructions
    • Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with standards
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct in-process and final inspections
    • Record data from quality checks and report deviations to supervisors or QA
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to meet 5S/lean manufacturing standards
  • Documentation
    • Complete production logs, batch records, or digital tracking systems
    • Report any defects, delays, or unsafe conditions
    • Maintain accurate records for inventory and material usage
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow
    • Absorb and implement process improvement initiatives or lean manufacturing events

Requirements

  • Required Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Associate degree in electronics or technical certification preferred
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
    • IPC certification preferred
  • Experience and Technical Competence:
    • Familiarity with electronics assembly, tools, and safety practices
    • Experience with quality control procedures and inspection techniques
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or work instructions
    • Basic computer skills (for data entry, tracking systems, etc.)
    • Experience with lean manufacturing and ISO standards
