About the role
Overwatch Imaging is an imagery intelligence technology company focused on bringing sensor autonomy to critical airborne missions. Their Automated Sensor Operator (ASO) software enhances real-time imagery intelligence systems through advanced edge processing and AI. Founded in 2016, they serve various sectors including wildfire management, disaster response, law enforcement, and border security.
Responsibilities
- Electronics Assembly
- Assemble optical and electronic components using hand tools or power tools
- Assemble cable harness assemblies
- Follow technical drawings or work instructions
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with standards
- Quality Control
- Conduct in-process and final inspections
- Record data from quality checks and report deviations to supervisors or QA
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to meet 5S/lean manufacturing standards
- Documentation
- Complete production logs, batch records, or digital tracking systems
- Report any defects, delays, or unsafe conditions
- Maintain accurate records for inventory and material usage
- Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Absorb and implement process improvement initiatives or lean manufacturing events
Requirements
- Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in electronics or technical certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- IPC certification preferred
- Experience and Technical Competence:
- Familiarity with electronics assembly, tools, and safety practices
- Experience with quality control procedures and inspection techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or work instructions
- Basic computer skills (for data entry, tracking systems, etc.)
- Experience with lean manufacturing and ISO standards
