Production Tech 2

About the role

A Production Tech 2 at MKS is responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and/or final systems
• Completes rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
• Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
• Assists in the selection and setting up of specialized test equipment
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements

• Technical school training or relevant experience
• Minimum of 12-18 months’ experience troubleshooting to component level
• 2-5 years of assembly experience
• Soldering skills and mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment while maintaining commitment to product quality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment
• Familiarity with PC programs (spreadsheets, databases, Windows, etc.)
• Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Oracle and Lean manufacturing
• Highly motivated and able to function in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 20 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 30% of the time
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

Pay

Total Base Pay Range: $18.89 - $31.49 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate based on qualifications, experience, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law.

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS.
