About the role
A Production Tech 2 at MKS is responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Performs testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and/or final systems
- Completes rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
- Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
- Assists in the selection and setting up of specialized test equipment
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Technical school training or relevant experience
- Minimum of 12-18 months’ experience troubleshooting to component level
- 2-5 years of assembly experience
- Soldering skills and mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment while maintaining commitment to product quality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with PC programs (spreadsheets, databases, Windows, etc.)
- Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Oracle and Lean manufacturing
- Highly motivated and able to function in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
- Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 20 pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 30% of the time
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
- The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Pay
Total Base Pay Range: $18.89 - $31.49 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate based on qualifications, experience, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS.
