Responsibilities

• Slice, stuff, package, and box sausage products manually or using mechanical equipment to produce work-in-process and finished goods.
• Load and unload materials, packaging, and finished goods from racks or pallets.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by packaging, stuffing, or slicing raw materials to designated weights for individual packages or case weights.
• Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Transfer finished products and raw materials to designated locations within the plant, warehouse, or production line.
• Follow all safety requirements, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as prescribed for each task.
• Adhere to SQF (Safe Quality Food) principles as specified by the SQF Practitioner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including product inspection, palletizing, pushing tubs, and stacking boxes.

Requirements

• Ability to work with and handle raw meat and finished products.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, reach, and use hands.
• Frequently required to walk.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
