Production Support Operator Second Shift

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Clean parts, perform part marking and packaging
• Deburr and/or grind parts using file, grinding wheel, tumbler and deburring cloth
• Operate a tumbler and a sand blaster
• Must be able to get along well with others
• Must be able to work scheduled shift and meet company attendance requirements
• Must be flexible enough to stay late or modify work hours on short notice
• Must be able to perform the job safely
• Must comply with company safety rules and procedures
• Must follow the lean philosophy and practice the 6 S’s on a daily basis

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance
• Typical qualifications would be:
• Good basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals)
• Good verbal and written English communication skills; ability to work from written and verbal instructions
• Ability to use micrometers and calipers
• Ability to input data into a computer terminal
• Neat penmanship for completing Manufacturing Plans, etc.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; prefer one to three months experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to be detail oriented and able to multi-task several functions
• Able to organize work to optimize efficiency
