Production Support - 12-Hour nights (6:00pm - 6:30am)

About the role

LiDestri Foods has grown from its roots as a pasta sauce and salsa manufacturer to become an R&D engine, formulating and producing innovative food products for national and retailer brand partners. Based in Rochester, NY, LiDestri employs over 1,000 people across three U.S. locations, maintaining strong partnerships with respected consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies and inventive retailer brands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GMP standards at and within assigned work areas;
• Perform Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assigned work areas;
• Afford assistance during Cleaning In Place (CIP) procedures, as required;
• Relieve operators, as needed;
• Maintain accurate records;
• Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Requirements

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety training, and leather skid-resistant work shoes/boots;
• Chemical training;
• LO/TO certification, may require forklift use;
• Basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning abilities;
• Use of various tools such as band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knives, and scales.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
• Long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors;
• Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions;
• Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending;
• Ability to lift/carry heavy objects;
• Working in a potentially hazardous environment.
