Production Supervisor - Raw Pack

About the role

Reporting directly to the Department Manager, the Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations within the assigned department.

Responsibilities

• Communicate, coordinate, and supervise the department’s daily objectives.
• Train lead persons in all job requirements, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Ensure all employees in the department are trained and understand the process.
• Confer with management and employees on departmental problems and recommend changes or work practices to improve department standards.
• Compile required reports.
• Document steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
• Complete daily timesheets and scheduled time off for employees.
• Ensure employees adhere to company policies and work rules.
• Conduct employee evaluations as scheduled.
• Conduct disciplinary actions of department employees in coordination with the Human Resources Department.
• Represent the department at company meetings, functions, and/or activities.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP requirements.
• Maintain records and inventory.
• Plan and communicate with other departments.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED equivalency, or equivalent knowledge within the food industry.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in the food industry, with a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role ensuring employees are fully trained and understand their processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• HACCP certification.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
