Production Supervisor (Night Shift)
About the role
Atkore is a leading provider of electrical, safety, and infrastructure solutions with a global network of manufacturing and distribution facilities. This position is based in Louisville, KY and involves leading a team in manufacturing PVC Pipe products.
Responsibilities
- Lead using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management within their teams and utilize Lean tools for improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity performance.
- Develop plans and implement strategies to improve the engagement, alignment, and performance of the production team members.
- Instill and maintain a positive “can-do” team atmosphere within the team by holding regular team meetings, assigning tasks to team members, empowering team member decision-making, and coordinating support services.
- Implement cross training activities to ensure proper function of the production lines and maximize team’s potential.
- Develop and coach team members with necessary skills to identify problems and challenges, perform root cause analyses and implement countermeasures and solutions as necessary.
- Control and optimize labor, materials and equipment utilization to achieve production goals.
- Ensure team members are meeting safety standards, production schedules, and quality specifications.
- Manage vacation schedules and overtime.
- Lead by example and live the Atkore Values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
- Willing to work other shifts as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in plastic pipe/conduit extrusion strongly preferred.
- High energy, strong work ethic, schedule flexibility, and ability to work additional hours based on business needs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including conflict resolution.
- Continuous improvement background (lean, WCM, GMP, etc.) and the passion to grow your lean experience.
- Ability to thrive in an environment focused on problem solving throughout the day.
Qualifications

Pay
A good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $66,320 - $91,190. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
Schedule
The position is Monday - Friday, Night Shift (8:00 PM - 5:00 AM).
