Production Supervisor LPC LSBS Day Shift

Principal Accountabilities

• Adhere to process control procedures, operating instructions, and quality control instructions.
• Safely manufacture a quality product with minimal scrap or rework, meeting customer specifications.
• Ensure safe manufacture of products, safety in supervision, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Prevent accidents and enforce legal requirements and company safety policy.
• Plan, organize, and supervise shift operations effectively.
• Achieve target earned hours and meet or exceed budget criteria.
• Maintain departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, cooperation, and morale.
• Ensure employees work safely and are properly trained in safety procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Maintain employee attendance to meet production schedules.
• Resolve employee grievances, provide feedback, conduct performance appraisals, and recommend changes in employment status.
• Interview and hire qualified individuals according to state and federal laws.
• Ensure adequate equipment and supplies are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus college-level courses or equivalent training in manufacturing, accounting, mathematics, and statistics.
• Additional training in motivation, problem-solving, and group behavior, or completion of a PCC Certificate program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• Two to five years’ experience in related production operations with good ability to facilitate team problem-solving and communicate orally and in writing.
• Process improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Individuals may have contact with or be required to handle hazardous waste. May be required to complete hazardous waste management training.
