Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and collaborative Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations at our Sudbury, MA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising production staff, coordinating workflow, and ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely completion of batch production records.
- Supervise production employees, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed effectively and staffing positions are appropriately covered.
- Proactively identify and communicate equipment, material, or production issues to management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by educating and guiding employees on the proper use of equipment, resources, and established control procedures.
- Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Address employee concerns and performance issues by gathering information, investigating root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure team members are properly trained and consistently following them.
- Ensure manufacturing and packaging operations comply with all food safety, quality, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements, as well as HACCP, NSF, and SQF standards.
- Maintain expertise in GMP requirements and ensure all production personnel adhere to established processes and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative, productive, and team-oriented work environment while supporting departmental goals and objectives.
- Aid with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education Requirements
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong understanding of quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow processes.
- Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lift and move 15–20 pound boxes on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including occasional weekends, as business needs require.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Vietnamese is required to effectively support and communicate with a diverse production workforce.
