Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team through a wide variety of employee centered issues requiring: knowledge of corporate/location policies and procedures, effective communications, performance appraisal procedures, performance management, hiring and interviewing, documentation, interpersonal skills, coaching skills, change management, conflict resolution, delegation, goal setting, motivation and employee engagement.
- Hands-on supervision of daily operations including workflow scheduling, management of staff scheduling, monitoring productivity and quality, production process troubleshooting, and all other activities required to ensure on-time delivers and 100% customer satisfaction.
- Daily communication with other shifts and departments regarding workflow, staffing, and production issues.
- Daily focus on leading production team to exceed performance goals and continue to raise the bar.
Requirements
- 5 years of Supervisory experience (15 or more employees) in a fast-paced, quick turn production environment.
- Knowledge and experience with production practices utilizing ISO 9001 standards, 5S and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with compliance related operations and standards; e.g. financial, banking, mortgage, healthcare, etc.
- Proven management skills with solid interpersonal abilities in order to establish and grow effective working relationships.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently in the absence of the extended resources on the day shift.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively across functional groups and management levels.
- Prioritize, remain focused on task, while maintaining quality, safety and on-time delivery.
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge & experience in digital printing and insertion (roll and sheet fed devices).
- Experience with postal regulations as related to print & mail.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the Print & Mail industry and/or experience working in print production environment.
Skills
