Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
- Lead safety audits and implement ergonomic initiatives.
- Enforce HACCP and USDA regulations, train employees on safe operating procedures, and ensure tasks comply with product specifications.
- Track and analyze production yields, efficiencies, and variances to improve workflows and minimize costs.
- Direct and coach hourly production employees, aligning them on safety, quality, and production goals.
- Lead monthly line meetings and conduct daily walkthroughs of the production floor.
- Analyze key product performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and suggest enhancements to production efficiency, cost reduction, and quality maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading teams, providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to solve complex process issues and analyze data.
- Ability to motivate and train employees to achieve peak performance and foster a positive work environment.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic environments, including working in varying conditions and long hours.
Qualifications
- Skill proficiency in SAP, internet tools, spreadsheets, Word, order processing, and inventory software.
- Knowledge of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures in food processing and manufacturing.
- Bilingualism is a plus.
