About the Role
This position directs the development and implementation of production goals in safety, quality, customer delivery, and financial improvement. You will develop capacity plans and output forecasts based on complex customer demand trends and variable labor content per production order. The role involves executing resource planning in a high-product-mix, highly flexible, and customized manufacturing environment while selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the production team.
You will plan and administer operating policies, procedures, and practices that foster employee engagement in a continuous improvement-driven work environment.

- Manage and foster the success of projects aimed at improving customer and business outcomes.
- Perform resource planning, scheduling work hours, and managing time-off requests.
- Plan and coordinate production order transitions between shifts and departments.
- Communicate daily production requirements and set targets based on capacity.
- Analyze daily backlogs and calculate required capacity to manage order lead times.
- Develop resource plans based on individual work cell demand rates.
- Calculate labor efficiency, utilization, and productivity.
- Prepare and present operational metrics during order status reviews.
- Analyze manufacturing labor times for variance and reduction opportunities.
- Manage departmental expenses to budget and according to business conditions.
- Account for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement objectives.
- Integrate and streamline processes throughout the supply chain.
- Anticipate and meet the information needs of all organizational levels.
- Comprehend customer or business partner needs to bring strategic value.
- Promote customer needs as the key driver for business goals.
- Set aggressive, well-defined goals to meet business challenges.
- Realize a sense of urgency around business imperatives.
- Identify and overcome obstacles to drive initiatives to closure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional work experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Rockwell Automation will not sponsor employment visas for this role).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supervision or engineering within an electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to be self-directing, manage time and priorities effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
