About the Role
The Production Supervisor will perform the daily operations of work cells to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line while leading a team of 10-20 hourly team members. This role impacts departmental operations and is responsible for execution within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required, typically with guidance and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees, typically managing hourly employee populations.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, using prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy and strategy.
- Understand key business drivers and how the work of your team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Use judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
- Solve straightforward tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training.
- Provide informal guidance to new team members.
- Develop and maintain personnel skill sets to support company growth.
- Ensure adherence to policies and good business practices by those reporting to you.
- Reduce and maintain production backlog to meet established on-time shipment targets.
- Improve and maintain job tracking and reporting to achieve 98% accuracy.
- Maintain personnel skill set evaluation and development.
- Foster team alignment, engagement, and strong communications to ensure production personnel have the current business information they need.
- Build relationships to ensure production personnel are engaged and committed to the business’s success, encouraging idea flow for continuous improvement.
- Generate and support active participation in process improvement (including CI, Kaizen, Employee Involvement, charts, etc.).
- Monitor, maintain, and improve KPIs for assigned production cells in accordance with established operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment managing a team).
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment managing a team.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) to meet export control compliance requirements.

Pay
Pay Range: Up to $114k.
