MANN+HUMMEL is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to manage and oversee the daily operations of an assigned shift within our production zone in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This full-time role focuses on aligning production activities with the production plan, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements and lead quality improvement initiatives to achieve zero defects both internally and externally.
- Lead and initiate process improvement activities and improvement teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Develop employees toward the attainment of autonomous work teams.
- Provide clear communication at all levels of the organization, from the operations workforce to senior management.
- Assist in the development and execution of plant strategy.
- Ensure the implementation of sustainable improvements.
- Use data to analyze performance and develop and implement action plans to address issues.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams in support of continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business education preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in automotive manufacturing operations.
- 3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with Visual Manufacturing, including KanBan, Takt Time, and Visual Work Instructions preferred.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (Takt/One piece flow/Pull/5S).
- Familiarity with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage formulas, spreadsheets, and use Microsoft Word.
- Self-starter with a disciplined approach to work.
