Production Supervisor
About the role
Jostens is a 127-year-old leader in the printing industry, dedicated to helping customers celebrate achievements. As a Production Supervisor, you'll oversee and coordinate operations, ensuring quality, quantity, cost, and delivery targets are met. You'll manage schedules, allocate resources, and implement safety programs. You'll also mentor and train employees, support continuous improvement initiatives, and handle emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Meet plant objectives for quality, quantity, cost, and delivery
- Control the area's schedule, quality control, and material allocation
- Develop and execute safety plans
- Organize work and maintain a productive and motivational workplace
- Support and partner with continuous improvement engineers
- Coordinate production and performance goals across different departments
- Work and assist in different department areas as needed
- Be on call and available after hours, with your own mobile device
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Production/Industrial operations Management/Supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience as an effective role model and cross-functional communication
- Strong safety background and experience developing and executing safety plans
Qualifications
- BA degree in Business, Manufacturing, and/or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Production/Industrial operations Management/Supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience as an effective role model, either internally or externally
- Strong Safety background and experience developing and executing safety plans
