Job Summary
Reporting to Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor directs a staff of employees and shift supervisors to run the plant daily safely, effectively, and efficiently. Responsibilities include setting up product lines, maintaining quality control, ensuring plant safety, conducting safety training, and overseeing disciplinary actions.
Job Responsibilities
- To ensure all employees and shift supervisors do their jobs safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- To maintain quality control and inventory sufficient for shipping needs.
- To conduct and document safety training, safety meetings, and safety inspections.
- To ensure plant is kept in safe, efficient running order.
- To maintain harmonious labor relations in plant.
- To perform various processing tasks involving analysis, design, development, test, installation, and service, while working from instructions, drawings, prints, specifications, and other pertinent information.
- To review and analyze a variety of process control data, documents, and reports.
- To consult with all shift supervisors to ensure that specified product criteria are suitable for the proposed application.
- To plan, conduct, or coordinate relatively straightforward troubleshooting analyses to develop and implement total process control.
- To participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
- To supervise and lead all mold setup and product processing operations to ensure 100% compliance to quality and efficiency standards.
- To track daily scrap and output efficiencies.
- To create and implement process procedures.
- To implement total process control.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate with, direct, and work with supervision and employees, in Spanish and English.
- Knowledge of plant operation, receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Knowledge of product line, machine set ups, temperatures, times, etc.
- Ability to make verbal and written reports and keep accurate records.
- Ability to meet production schedules.
- Ability to use Sage or IQMS programs.
- Ability to follow instructions.
Pay Range
$21 - $25 per hour
