About the role

The Production Supervisor ensures consistent achievement of the production schedule, safely and on-time, to deliver quality products to our customers. This role executes the production plan, supervises Team Leads and hourly associates, and oversees multiple activities simultaneously while taking ownership of team output. The Production Supervisor works closely with other facility functions to drive plant-wide initiatives and must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and professional standards within the facility.
• Supervise operations to achieve higher output and optimum efficiency.
• Monitor daily production and quality control performance records, identifying inefficiencies and taking corrective actions.
• Assist in all aspects of production floor operations.
• Develop daily work schedules and adjust workflow as needed.
• Lead, mentor, and participate in Operational Excellence (OpEx) Lean initiatives, including Standard Daily Work, daily Tier 1 meetings, TPM, and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
• Coordinate and monitor the flow of production orders, forecasting work and addressing potential workflow issues.
• Develop and implement strategies and training to accomplish organizational goals and values.
• Set expectations for staff, monitor delegated activities, and lead by example.
• Provide regular performance feedback and effective training for skill development and growth.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality, and manufacturing engineering personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to design, quality, equipment, materials, work assignments, and operating difficulties.
• Foster a continuous improvement environment with employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years of manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of formal operations management experience.
• Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solid work ethic.
• Ability to create and adhere to production processes.
• Legible and accurate report writing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and evaluate the work of others.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the following areas: Process and People Management, Leadership/Coaching/Facilitation, Problem Solving, Lean/Continuous Improvement, Safety, Process/Product Knowledge, Communication, Computers and Technology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position includes performance management, coaching, supervision, fostering teamwork, and training and development of one or more employees.

Pay

$90,000–$110,000 per year. Individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements and may be subject to prevailing wage laws.

Schedule

Onsite, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM CST.
