Production Supervisor

About the Role

Responsible for processes associated with assigned area(s) of a manufacturing facility. Function as a member of the management team in identifying improvement opportunities and developing organizational priorities. Continually improve response times and quality levels of production systems while motivating team members to achieve performance objectives. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and develop company resources to meet established goals and objectives for on-time shipment of products to customers.
• Develop teams and team members to accept increasing levels of responsibility and authority, aiming for self-direction.
• Supervise the maintenance of a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
• Maintain and lead Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) processes, identifying and leading improvement efforts.
• Ensure firm, fair, and consistent application of and adherence to all established company safety, quality, and employee handbook policies and procedures.
• Provide training to ensure only qualified personnel perform work.
• Enforce all preventative maintenance schedules as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree or equivalent with relevant experience required.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a team or highly empowered environment.
• Experience with welding, press work, painting, and assembly line processes desired.
• Practical experience facilitating problem-solving processes (preferably in a highly empowered environment) is preferred.
• Ability to effectively direct, motivate, and coordinate all activities associated with manufacturing processes.
• Computer literacy and strong written and oral communication skills.
