About the role

Gradall Industries is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to join our team in Tuscarawas County. This position oversees production activities, ensures quality standards, and maintains a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and direction for team members to achieve production goals.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards within the assigned area.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure maximum production within safe practices.
  • Ensure employees are aware of and follow ISO9001 quality standards.
  • Assign tasks and manage manpower to optimize efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Train and guide employees.
  • Evaluate and review employee performance.
  • Assess workload and manpower needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of performance.
  • Handle employee problems and address concerns.

Requirements

  • 3 years of practical industrial manufacturing experience, preferably in welding, assembly, and/or machining.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is desirable.
  • A High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, industrial management, or a related field, is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication, machine shop, mechanical assembly, welding, coating, and related processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing methodology and principles.
  • Basic proficiency in using personal computers and manufacturing/production systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work irregular and/or long hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of GMS and safety systems to ensure compliance.

Skills

  • Read blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Provide hands-on technical support in a production environment.
  • Use logic and reasoning to solve problems.
  • Develop and motivate teams.
  • Overcome resistance to change and lead change initiatives.
