About the role
Oversee efficient production operations to deliver top-quality flavor and fragrance products. Manage performance, control inventory, and implement safety-focused manufacturing processes. Focus on continuous improvement through Lean projects and capacity enhancements, engaging with team boards and meetings. Lead a talented team to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Manufacturing Manager by overseeing and coordinating production operations within specific plant sections to ensure delivery of intermediate or finished flavor/fragrance products.
- Manage the production area's performance to meet schedules, control inventory for material availability, and monitor output for quality and efficiency.
- Prepare production reports for performance issue identification and resolution.
- Define manufacturing processes that align with safety, EHS standards, and productivity goals.
- Improve programs, manage capacity enhancements, and lead Lean program rollouts with active involvement in team boards and meetings.
- Oversee staff to ensure safe task performance and equipment operation.
- Oversee documentation of staff performance, provide ongoing feedback, conduct mid-year and end-year reviews, and make recommendations on hiring, firing, and salary increases.
- Train new employees on operational procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Vocational diploma in Technical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of production experience with exposure to quality and materials process management.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in people management.
- Proficiency in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
Pay
The established salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications.
