Production Supervisor

About the role
As a Production Supervisor at Gardner Abrasives, you will direct the work of the department by assigning duties and evaluating performance against established standards. You will join the Production team under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, ensuring consistent production rates and meeting shipping requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule work in the department in accordance with production work sheets.
- Notify the Production Office of grain, powder, or equipment shortages that may affect production runs, and adjust manpower accordingly.
- Recommend new tooling and/or equipment for more efficient production methods.
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Finishing Supervisor to maintain production rates and meet shipping requirements.
- Participate in selecting and placing department personnel.
- Ensure assigned personnel receive proper training to achieve production and quality goals.
- Make recommendations pertaining to work hours and overtime.
- Administer Company policy consistently across the workforce.
- Recommend and take corrective action to resolve employee and production issues.
- Submit repair work orders and purchase requisitions to ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Follow health and safety procedures and rules.
- Support and participate in ISO 9000 Certification and Quality Improvement Processes.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and foster a safe and productive workplace.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; no sponsorship offered.

Pay
Salary range: $27–$36 per hour, determined by experience.
