Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate current processes for efficiency, relevance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely manufacturing operations.
- Establish production priorities and schedules to meet customer requirements while maintaining operational efficiency and cost control.
- Collaborate with management to develop and maintain production standards, quality requirements, and operational objectives.
- Cookordination production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality teams to maximize utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor production performance through review of operational reports, quality metrics, and maintenance data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve production problems, including nonconformance to product specifications, equipment issues, or workflow disruptions.
- Implement and support process improvements, operating procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Adjust production schedules and staffing plans as necessary to address equipment failures, material shortages, or operational challenges.
- Work with engineering teams to evaluate and implement equipment or process modifications that improve manufacturing performance.
- Maintain and analyze production data to support reporting, planning, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Review scrap and waste reports and partner with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce material loss.
- Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure proper skills, performance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Promote and enforce workplace safety practices and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience managing production teams, schedules, and workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is preferred.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop production employees.
