About the Role

Maintain production flow and inform the Operations Manager of any problems meeting production goals. The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of production workers for the Machine Shop and other Fabrication cells. This position requires strong leadership skills, self-motivation, and a positive, energizing effect on others. The role serves as a functional lead for the Machine Shop and Fabrication cells, fully responsible for all aspects of these departments. Success is measured by year-after-year improvements in safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assign daily work tasks and priorities to employees in assigned department(s) to ensure no production delays.
  • Resolve quality, material, and work instruction issues.
  • Oversee the daily care and upkeep of equipment and tools used in the work area.
  • Lead 6S efforts and set the example for all employees to follow.
  • Work with engineering staff to resolve process and quality issues.
  • Provide training to employees as required.
  • Represent and advocate for the Company by following and enforcing documented policies.
  • Provide performance feedback through performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement countermeasures and action items to address cell performance issues.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work, and assess performance in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Support site initiatives as a leader of the organization.
  • Manage time and attendance in the timekeeping system.
  • Work overtime as necessary, including weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the position.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic word processing and spreadsheet capability required.
  • Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and interpret drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.

Pay

Base compensation: USD 75,000.00 - 85,000.00 (paid salaried).
