Production Supervisor

We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. Our facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for aerospace, defense, industrial, and medical industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and direction to employees.
• Train, advise, and counsel employees on work processes, procedures, and company policies.
• Regulate workflow to ensure maximum use of capacity and efficiency within the department.
• Ensure projects and assignments remain consistent with company practices, policies, and regulations (e.g., SOX, OSHA, Management System Standards).
• Interact with and support all internal and external customers, setting standards that promote good relations and communication.
• Research, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions to enable continuous improvement.
• Promote individual responsibility for quality work and workmanship standards.
• Track and monitor departmental performance objectives.
• Participate in periodic audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Participate in recruiting, selection, and development of operations personnel, including maintaining discipline, personnel relations, and interviewing screened applicants.
• Provide input for hiring, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and promotions.
• Coordinate and schedule work in the test area to ensure weekly commitments to the customer are met.
• Communicate test equipment issues to appropriate customer teams.
• Adhere to the General Requirements of Team Members.
• Maintain necessary records.
• Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
• Perform other assignments as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within the functional area assigned.
• Able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to handle multiple tasks, with good organizational skills and a high level of energy.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business.
• Computer skills: intermediate knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Internet Explorer.
• Professional attitude and demeanor; problem-solving and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Understanding of DOE, 6-Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience within electrical or electronic manufacturing.
• Advanced ERP and Microsoft Office skills (email, Word, Excel), intermediate-level PowerPoint, and Access.
