Production Supervisor

The salary range for this position is $57,650 to $72,200, depending on experience and qualifications. Summary The Supervisor will assist with supervision of employees as needed in different areas and provide leadership. Key Responsibilities Monitor the completion and accuracy of daily chore sheets and environmental controls of the barns and complex throughout the day and implement corrective actions to address concerns foundCommit and adhere to Daybreak Foods industry leading Animal Welfare practices and standards Monitor equipment for proper functioning and keep up with necessary PMs and ensure effective safety practices and procedures are being followedAssist with animal welfare programs and documentation as needed for audit purposes and responsible for bird movesAssist with performing performance evaluations and collect weekly numbers and create final reportsSupervise daily operations of staff and Provide coaching for employees as needed and ensure proper training is completed for employeesAssist with providing progressive discipline and corrective action as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education and/or Experience Preferably an Associate degree in a related field (Ag, Business, etc.) 3 to 5 years of experience in a poultry production setting preferredLeadership experience is requiredBilingual Preferred and Basic Preventive Maintenance experience preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability and willingness to learn several associated positionsKnowledge of effective safety practicesGeneral understanding of electrical and mechanical devices with good troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of computers including windows based programs and systemsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to provide effective leadership, coaching, mentoring and disciplineMust have ability to plan, execute, and measure results and outcomesAbility to read, speak, and write English required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Needs to have ability to interact with individuals from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgroundsOn call for 24 hour alarm calls and any corrective action needed to resolve them Physical Demands Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. Temperature varies in relation to the outside temperature. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions.
