About the role
Clark Personnel is seeking a Production Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic team in the seafood industry.
Responsibilities
- Direct line leads on production tasks based on daily production.
- Monitor staff attendance, time clock awareness, and daily productivity.
- Assist with training new hires, including approving vacation, correcting missed punches, and creating schedules.
- Understand how to build a production plan and locate relevant information.
- Understand how each machine operates and provide detailed instructions on their use.
- Assist QA with monitoring product quality, styling of product in trays, and product flow.
- Learn and explain the importance of Lean Manufacturing.
- Double-check leads and information entered into machines.
- Implement GMPs and hold leads accountable for their actions.
- Conduct weekly meetings to inform employees of upcoming changes, communicate goal achievements, and address areas needing improvement.
Requirements
- 2+ years of employment with a food processing company, preferably in the seafood industry.
- Excellent management, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to stand for 8 to 10 hours a day in cold and wet environments.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, Safety programs, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Trained in HACCP and a general understanding of Quality Assurance.
Schedule
4 12-hour shifts; Sunday - Saturday, 6:00am to 6:00pm
