A Day in the Life
Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day assigned operations department. Supporting the Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee assigned department production shift activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
- Ensure assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements. May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary.
- Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift.
- Provide Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns.
- Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of assigned shift in all aspects.
- Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
- Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the assigned shift.
- Monitor KPR's and help develop plans to bring assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.
- Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Skills/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required, or equivalent progressive experience or 3 years of experience in related industrial manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed.
- Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required.
Pay
$76,120.00-$85,680.00 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus. 12-hour rotating shift (48 hour week/36 hour week).
