About the Role
The Production Supervisor is responsible for effectively supervising employees in a designated area of manufacturing to ensure a safe work environment, meet production deadlines, and attain established goals in the areas of production quality, delivery, and cost. This position will reside on the off shift (2nd or 3rd).
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment as the top priority.
- Support and drive the lean manufacturing system; assign work; and recommend and implement improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, employee relations, and working conditions.
- Oversee all departmental activities and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Resolve employee issues, ensure positive employee relations, and promote and enforce all company policies fairly and consistently.
- Responsible for area performance measures and individual employee work performance; provide coaching and direction to employees; and work with the manufacturing manager to identify development and/or training needs for employees.
- Responsible for communication at all levels.
- Complete required safety training, report and correct any unsafe practices, complete work activities in a safe manner, and comply with safety and health requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing-related position.
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred; experience in the automotive industry preferred.
- Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of lean manufacturing processes/procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with proven safety programs or quality programs (e.g., Kaizen) a plus.
- Knowledge of measuring devices such as micrometers, height stands, and calipers.

Pay
Salary range: $70,400 - $96,800.
