Schedule

Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Act as a decision maker and problem solver for the site, making critical decisions to maximize efficiency and manpower while troubleshooting issues.
  • Coach and provide feedback to leads to support their leadership growth and development.
  • Supervise and assist department leads daily to support production activities.
  • Manage employee issues such as attendance monitoring, performance goals, and resolving minor disputes.
  • Notify plant management of any employee conduct requiring corrective or disciplinary action.
  • Work with department leads to regularly assess employee performance, including capabilities, results, improvement opportunities, and development action plans.
  • Issue appropriate corrective action as needed.
  • Engage teams to cultivate improvement and efficiency suggestions.
  • Use fundamental knowledge of department operations to troubleshoot issues, remove roadblocks, and implement improvements.
  • Write, review, and update work instructions to ensure consistent production performance.
  • Regularly audit team work to ensure it meets safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of department goals and activities.
  • Evaluate and adjust staffing levels, shift schedules, and overtime requirements to meet production demand.
  • Train and coach employees on safety, quality, and work processes.
  • Upgrade own skills by attending courses and seminars.
  • Ensure all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines are known and followed, and required safety equipment is used.
  • Promptly address safety issues and reinforce safety expectations with the team.
  • Communicate and enforce safety regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize 5S, Lean, and Continuous Improvement methodology to identify, implement, and sustain process improvements.
  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste per regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisor/manager experience (2+ years) in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Competency and confidence using computerized systems such as MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and SAP.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent sitting, standing, bending/twisting of neck and waist, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects from floor, conveyor, vehicle, table, or overhead location.
  • Climbing/descending stairs.
  • Occasional lifting of 10–75 lbs. (up to 1 hour) throughout shift.

Pay

USD $86,900.00 – USD $111,300.00 per year.
