Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Oversees monitors and coordinates Production activities
- Gives importance to individual members and overall team achievement for policy deployment objectives
- Ensures that team goals are aligned with and represent the company's objectives
- Acts as a liaison between team members and other functional areas
- Works proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem-solving skills when working towards resolution
- Ensures that the duties, responsibilities, authority and accountability of all direct and indirect reports are defined and understood
- Develops and oversees, schedules the production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources while ensuring improved performance in: quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale
- Takes an active leadership role in development and implementation of continuous process improvement tools in assigned department(s)
- Manages the planning and designing methods to improve or enhance existing programs and processes
- Responsible for the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency and resource allocation
- Responsible for maintaining the production equipments in the usable condition through monitoring of maintenance schedules, maintenance of required change parts/ spare parts and basic troubleshooting of equipments
- Provides regular and timely reports and interpretation of results to the Production management
- Develops, implements and monitors policies and procedures for day-to-day operations
- Establishes creative manufacturing solutions
- Establishes / monitors standard operating procedures within manufacturing
- Selects and recommends equipment to support parts
- Establishes annual objectives for direct reports and reviews performance of objectives in a timely manner
- Responsible for managing the team through recruitment, training needs identification and arranging required trainings / resources for their development to suit company requirements
- Responsible for creating/ revising/ reviewing / approving GMP documentations
- Takes an active role in identifying training needs, challenging and developing both direct and indirect reports in their positions for future opportunities
- Follow company policies and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform all additional tasks relating to the operation of the manufacturing department as requested
Qualifications & Requirements
- The ability to effectively build and maintain relationships and motivate a highly diverse team in order to effectively negotiate and solve problems.

- Working knowledge of applicable safety and standards guidelines, such as SOP, cGMP, DEA regulations and/or MSDS.
Education & Experience
- Minimum BS with Scientific field or equivalent (preferable in Chemistry / Pharmacy)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as lead/supervisor in pharmaceuticals / nutraceuticals.
- Following would add preference: Up-to-date knowledge in GMP and Safety guidelines / regulations. Ability to learn quickly & Train team members.
- Technical, Administrative, Decision making, Communication skills and Ability to work under pressure.
