Production Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an organized and systematic Maintenance Manager to lead our entire maintenance team and manage all building and equipment maintenance programs. This role ensures the plant operates efficiently and effectively by overseeing preventive maintenance, installations, inspections, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate thrives in a nimble, fast-paced environment and is passionate about optimizing health and nutrition through high-quality ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities within all process areas to ensure product meets scheduling and quality requirements.
• Work with Operators to maximize the use of raw materials and rework in the production process.
• Monitor physical characteristics of products hourly and evaluate for specs, grits, flavor, density, mix abilities, and moisture to meet quality standards.
• Implement and enforce safety and regulatory programs for long-term facility safety.
• Lead and supervise production personnel, raising performance standards and establishing training programs (SOPs, quality specs, safety, and job expectations).
• Communicate performance and KPIs to the team daily.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and timely completion of shift reports, including inventory levels and KPIs.
• Coordinate record-keeping with the Production Manager for production, quality assurance, inventory control, and planning.
• Responsible for nightly production reporting.
• Collaborate with the Process Manager and Production Manager to evaluate and improve production efficiency and equipment capabilities.
• Help develop weekly/monthly production schedules and staffing plans based on business needs.
• Maintain and improve plant sanitation programs, ensuring the facility is clean and orderly.
• Schedule equipment repairs and preventive maintenance with the Maintenance department.
• Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety and regulatory policies.
• Assist with period-end and year-end inventory balancing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of previous management experience, preferably in a dairy processing plant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer software applications.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Pay

Starting annual base salary range: $85,000–$95,000 USD. Applicable pay within this range may vary based on education, skill set, and experience.
