About the Role

Leads and manages an effective team, overseeing all aspects of staffing, performance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include planning and conducting team meetings, preparing and delivering performance appraisals, managing vacations, overtime, and leaves of absence, and fostering career growth through coaching, training, and motivation to enhance quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective feedback to employees, both positive and constructive, and maintain proper documentation for all disciplinary actions.
• Provide training and mentoring to newly appointed Supervisors.
• Oversee training and orientation of employees to ensure understanding of EHS rules, improved work performance, and communication of company policies and procedures.
• Uphold compliance with the collective bargaining agreement; serve as liaison between management and union officials and address grievances.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules and work teams.
• Analyze production and operating reports; address operations, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to control costs and avoid operational delays.
• Champion EHS standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Implement ABS principles and initiatives; serve as the 6S program leader.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience supervising maintenance or skilled trades teams.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiarity with TPM, Synchronous Manufacturing, and Kaizen Concepts.
