About the role
Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Production Senior Lead – 3rd Shift for the Byron Center plant.
Schedule
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
- Direct molding personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Work independently and lead a small group to meet production schedule and quality standards, reporting issues to the supervisor.
- Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP).
- Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
- Report department metrics.
- Verify order information and produce parts with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards.
Requirements
Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
- Prior supervisory/lead experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to use simple math and basic hand‑held measuring tools.
- Computer literate: Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems.
Education, Licenses & Certifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
