Production Specialist

Department: Production | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Full Time

About the role

Torito Brands expects the Production Specialist and everyone in the company to provide excellent service to all internal and external customers, always. The work area and any interaction space must be clean, organized, free from garbage, and adhere to implemented safety standards. Any safety irregularity should be reported or addressed immediately.

Responsibilities

• Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and sorting.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to leaders.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following prescribed safety regulations.
• Complete repetitive work tasks while remaining focused on counting and recording numbers.
• Perform related duties as assigned by leaders.
• Break down cardboard for recycling as needed.
• Wear required company-supplied PPE as directed.
• Maintain production time expectations as set by management.
• Duties are subject to change based on production needs and market demand.

Requirements

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.
• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
• Failure to meet production role expectations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Physical Demands

• Required to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive movements.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
• May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of boxes.
• Constant exposure to raw food.
