Production Specialist

About the role

Torito Brands expects the Production Specialist to provide excellent service to all internal and external customers, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow implemented safety standards. The Production Specialist is responsible for the production and/or packaging of a variety of manufactured products.

Responsibilities

• Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and sorting
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to leaders
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Complete repetitive work tasks and remain focused on counting and recording numbers
• Perform related duties as assigned by leaders
• Break down cardboard for recycling as needed
• Wear required company supplied PPE as directed
• Maintain production time expectations as set by management

Requirements

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization
• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products

Physical Demands

Required to stand for long periods of time, repetitive movements. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds floor to waist. May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of boxes. Exposure to raw food constantly.

Pay

$14-$14 hourly wage
