Production Specialist

About the role

Production Specialists work behind the scenes at Goodwill Retail Stores to ensure donated merchandise is sorted, inspected, priced, and organized for the sales floor. This role involves physical tasks in a fast-paced, team-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, inspects, and stocks donated goods
• Optimizes the value of donations
• Meets minimum Units Per Hour (UPH) and production effectiveness expectations
• Follows Agency safety policies and procedures; ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Represents Goodwill in interactions with the community and public, supporting the agency’s vision
• Performs duties in accordance with Agency policies and applicable laws
• Works with supervisors to meet individual production goals
• Maintains accurate records of daily production
• Ensures compliance with Agency standard training
• Prices merchandise using best practices and stocks according to the sales floor plan
• Processes material at the donation site by sorting donations made throughout the day

Requirements

• Ability to display a positive, friendly attitude to maintain a positive work environment
• Mathematical and literacy skills to support job duties
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A criminal background check that meets agency standards

Qualifications

• Light manufacturing, donation, warehouse work experience, or certification
• Prior thrift or used goods donation experience
• High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent

Pay

$15.25 - $17.00 per hour (D.O.E)

Schedule

Flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
