Production Skills Trainer

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new team member training on the shop floor.
  • Provide training on production of our products.
  • Ensure new and existing team members’ understanding about Lean Manufacturing, Safety and Quality, as it pertains to manufacturing or service processes.
  • Auxiliary with 5-S / Lean Manufacturing implementation.
  • Auxiliary with determining areas where additional training is required.
  • Assist with mandatory training initiatives.
  • Auxiliary with interviews (translation).
  • Assist with Orientation (translation).
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or 1+ years of progressive work history with Morgan Team Member must be in good standing at time of posting of position.
  • Experience in the implementation and training of: Manufacturing processes Truck bodybuilding.

Qualifications

  • Computer skills or the ability/willingness to learn computer-based systems.
  • Continuous Improvement principles 5-S principles Lean manufacturing principles Adult Learning Process implementation Hands on Training Experience.
  • Physical Requirements: This job is operated in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, this position is regularly required to: Be able to stand for up to 8 - 10 hours per day. Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Be able to carry up to 35 lbs. Be able to handle mechanical stress/pressure when operating tools (drills, rivet guns, etc.) up to 22 lbs/in2. Be able to push/pull up to 35 lbs. Be able to flex wrist numerous times during a 60-minute period. Be able to apply pressure (squeeze) on triggers numerous times during a 60-minute period. Be able to bend several times during a 60-minute period. Be able to kneel several times during a 60-minute period. Be able to climb onto panels several times during a 60-minute period. Be able to work in uncontrolled (hot/cold) climates. Be able to talk, hear and see. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The team member may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). Have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places. The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to high.
