About the Role

The Production Shift Supervisor will oversee hourly employees in the continuous operation of the plant’s production activities. This role focuses on achieving plant goals in safety, process improvements, labor relations, quality, and production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Delegate assignments and monitor work groups to ensure throughput, quality, and safety during shift operations.
• Understand and enforce all customer requirements and plant emergency procedures.
• Communicate effectively, coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
• Ensure quality and productivity by performing mechanical, visual, and informational system checks.
• Review shift operations and recommend improvements for service, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Ensure all team members are adequately trained and knowledgeable of department procedures.
• Monitor control charts and review process shifts with key personnel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supervising/leading people and processes in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, preferably in a union facility.
• Previous glass industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to coach, motivate, and lead hourly employees.
• Understanding of Flow Manufacturing concepts, Continuous Improvement, and Kaizen events.
• Computer literacy through schooling or work experience.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000, with an additional possible 12% short-term incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
