About the role

As a Production Shift Supervisor at KIND Snacks, you will lead a team of production associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring our products are made safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in driving operational excellence on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of production associates, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GMP, OSHA).
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet targets.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to optimize production processes.
• Conduct shift handoffs and communicate key performance metrics to the next shift and leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with 5S standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Lean).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in manufacturing, operations, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP) and workplace safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a focus on safety and quality.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (typically 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, with flexibility as needed).
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
