About the role

Supports production scheduling activities by entering and maintaining production schedules, updating reports, tracking production status and related data, and coordinating routine information with Operations, Procurement, Program Management, and other internal stakeholders. Performs work in accordance with established procedures and escalates schedule, material, staffing, equipment, capacity, or delivery constraints to management for review and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and maintain production schedules and schedule-related reports in accordance with established procedures.
  • Track production status, material availability, delivery dates, and other schedule inputs; communicate discrepancies or missing information to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records, reports, and documentation to support production planning and customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate routine scheduling information with Operations, Procurement, Program Management, and other functions.
  • Support preparation or compilation of direct labor estimate inputs, historical data, or standard reports as requested.
  • Escalate capacity, staffing, material, equipment, explosive-limit, and delivery constraints to management for review, prioritization, and approval.
  • Additional duties assigned as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow established scheduling processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, update reports, and track production status information.
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling, production control, manufacturing support, or inventory/material tracking.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating routine information and escalating issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and production/ERP or scheduling systems, such as SAP or Microsoft Project, as applicable.

Minimum Experience

  • 3 years of experience in production scheduling, production control, manufacturing administration, inventory/material tracking, or related support role preferred.
  • Defense manufacturing, munitions, metal fabrication, or radiography experience preferred, if applicable to the assigned work area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, Production Planning, or related field preferred.
  • AS9001/ISO 9001 preferred.

  • Capacity to think, concentrate and focus over long periods of time.
  • Ability to write complex documents in the English language.
  • Ability to read complex documents in English.

Pay

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $68,480 – $102,720. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
