Role and Responsibilities

Establish the production schedule in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by firming, releasing and tracking the flow of work orders.

Serve as a single point of contact to the Manufacturing organization on material availability status for assigned production work centers.

Work closely with procurement, planning, logistics and other supply chain functions for material status and to align manufacturing plans and material flow.

Drive transaction discipline to ensure manufacturing reports each milestone operation in the ERP system and track timely close of work orders.

Establish and maintain ERP item planning parameters including manufacturing lead times, planning time fences, order modifiers and continuously improves data integrity.

Avoidance of inaccurate and timely set up for manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOMs) for all items.

Review and approve engineering change orders, planning BOMs and deviation requests.

Revise the schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities and availability of parts & material.

Track the accuracy of manufacturing routings and work closely with manufacturing engineers on the optimization of all routing steps and standard operations.

Monitor work order aging in the ERP system and continuously drive for reductions in Work in Progress (WIP) inventory.

Collaborate with all functions to ensure buy in and adherence to the production schedule.

Contributor to the implementation of all materials affected on Engineering Change Notices.

Analyze monthly Inventory Aging reports based on agreed parameters and provide forward visibility on potential issues.

Develop and publish inventory reports to management outlining current inventory levels/trends, potential excess/obsolete and drive inventory management initiatives to manage inventory to the agreed levels.

Skills and Experience

BS/BA Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or Engineering.

3-5 years of experience in Inventory Management, Production Planning and/or Scheduling.

Experience using Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally to develop best solutions for the company.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Self-starter with ability to complete activities with minimal direction.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Highly analytical skill set with Excel experience and attention to details.

American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.

Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.

Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift.

Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials.

Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff.

Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots).
