About the role
The Production Saw Operator is responsible for operating saws to cut lumber and other materials according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of saws to cut lumber and other materials accurately.
- Ensure all cuts meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor saw performance and report any issues to supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related experience in woodworking or manufacturing.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with basic computer software.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of wood properties and cutting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
