Production Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Production Reliability Engineer to lead pivotal enhancements in our client’s manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements
• Troubleshoot existing systems
• Oversee capital projects from start to finish
• Leverage methodologies like Lean Six Sigma to maximize supply chain performance
• Ensure machinery and instrumentation operate reliably

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• 5+ years of chemical plant experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment design, troubleshooting, and reliability
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, energy and mass balances
• Able to lead or participate in PPA, JSA, and PHA teams
• Effective project management skills from concept through commissioning
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Nice to have

• Experience with process safety management systems
• Familiarity with programming logic modifications for process optimization
• Background in mechanical predictive maintenance programs
• Ability to develop and revise equipment specifications and vendor relations

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• 5-7 years of relevant chemical plant experience, with demonstrated success in process optimization and project leadership

Other Requirements

• Location: Lake Charles, LA
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Must be willing to occasionally support plant trials, startups, and provide relief coverage
• Certifications related to process safety or project management are a plus
